Greys Recycling Facility
Greys Recycling is located within the Edmonton Waste Management Centre in NW Edmonton and is a partnership between the City of Edmonton and Greys Recycling. The project consists of 3 major components; a paper recycling facility, a glass recycling facility and, an administration office building. The recycling buildings are concrete monolithic domes, designed to incorporate equipment, workshop areas, management offices, storage and utility rooms as well as vehicle storage and maintenance areas. The Administration building was constructed using a structural insulated panel system (SIPS) to maximize thermal and energy efficiency and included offices, meeting rooms, board room, training areas, staff and lunch rooms, change facilities and links the recycling buildings providing convenient access to viewing galleries in both recycling facilities on the second level.
